I graduated high school as class Valedictorian. I then attended Southern State Community College where I graduated Magna Cum Laude with 3 Associate degrees in Business and Computer Programming. I then transferred to Wilmington College. From there I graduated Magna Cum Laude with a B. A. for majors in Business Management and Marketing and Minors in Accounting and Computer Science.

After graduating college, I worked for a short term through a temporary agency as a quality control inspector at an auto parts manufacturer. I then began an 11 plus year career primarily as an Account Manager for a major manufacturer of healthcare related products. My primary territories changed over the years, so I eventually ended up handling accounts from every state as well as Canada. I handled many high dollar accounts. This job taught me so much about handling stressful situations and problem solving. And I learned to listen to the customer and pay attention to detail.

I believe that the experience I have from the “real” world has helped me immensely to deal with the many challenges I face as the District 8 Director. The problem solving ability, patience, and listening skills I gained have helped me deal with these. Keeping a cool, level head and a willingness to listen have been necessary not only for the world of customer service but for the rabbit & cavy world as well. Communication can not only resolve problems but also prevent little ones from becoming big ones.
